Paper Cut-outs

Hopefully I can update some more here now that I have more free time. We will see :)

Here are some paper cut-outs I did last spring.

Noblesse

Wild Hair

Buck

Prudence

Cardinals

I make custom cut-outs of your favorite pets as greeting cards. I can make originals, and I can also make prints of the original to make a greeting card set with multiple cards.

Price is $20 for the original, and $2.50 for each additional card. Includes envelopes. Cards are blank on the inside unless otherwise requested.

Deer Studies

And here is one of my final projects from my advanced drawing class. Deer drawn in charcoal over watercolor paint studies.

I'm Back!

It's been a year! Crazy. I'm a bad, bad blogger. I just haven't been posting anything. Here are some drawings from models from my advanced drawing class last fall.

Long and lean.

Twisted

Contrasty on brown paper.

Looks like you should be seeing it with those 3D glasses.

This one is rather nice. I like the reddish brown conte crayon.

Some gesture work in color.

A little color work. Blues.

Pastel. I really liked this one once I put that black line in.

A rainbow of gesture drawings!

A more finished drawing from the model. Charcoal.

Some portrait practice

Some work with color. Never finished it.

Art Updates

I have finally gotten a chance to scan the mare and foal drawing I had started in my last post.I think it turned out pretty well. The background is...lacking, and might distract from the subject, but I think I'm leaving it as-is.

In other news, I have sold all but 2 of the 50 coloring books I printed! Thanks to everyone who bought one! I need to go out and print some more when I get the chance.

I am now working on a large (30x50 in.) painting of a Friesian stallion. Here are a few work in progress shots:

A January Update

So, I am taking the month off of school, and have managed to get some artwork done. Just a little though. And I don't have a scanner available at the moment, so you will have to wait to see them. But the drawings exist!
In other news, I sold most of my coloring books! Yay! Haven't heard much from buyers, but I am going to assume that means good things (or that they got them at least! The mail kind of makes me nervous. I don't know why).
Well, here are a couple of progress reports on a new drawing. I am thinking of selling this one, if anyone's interested. Or maybe I'll just give it away. Because I really do like doing that. :)

Coloring Book is Finished!

Finally, after much work, the coloring book is finished and ready for selling!

The books have been professionally printed on double-sided pages of cardstock, so it's good for you heavy colorers out there. The cover is printed in color, and is covered with a clear plastic protector. The back is a nice black board to keep it from getting all bent out of shape. The binding are black spirals, for easy page-flipping action. These books are really great quality! All pictures are original drawings inspired by photos provided by Haflinger owners. A lot of love, care, and time has gone into these books, and they would make a great Christmas present for any Haflinger lover.

Here's a couple pictures:
